You can use it to make videos for your own channel, share with friends and family or even use it as a media center to play audio from different sources such as Pandora or Spotify.
A tip to make your life easier: if you plan to combine lots of clips together in one video, give each clip a title and a custom made image which makes them easier to manage. You can also add the title to the first clip in the list when you upload it, then you won’t have to do it on every clip.
(2) If you want to make videos with the time slider, but don’t want to use a plugin. (If you don’t know, the time slider is an option that lets you adjust your video easily as you drag the slider forward or backward) There’s a tutorial for this on Youtube that shows you how to do this. (but be sure to check the comments because some people have had issues with it)
(3) If you want to add your own video with music, feel free to use our video-maker or Audacity. Both tools are free and there’s lots of tutorials on Youtube if you need help with them.
In the YouTube Video Maker and in Audacity, you can add your own video files. But, for some reason, it doesn’t work in the more popular video-managers such as Microsoft Windows Movie Maker or iMovie for Mac. If you use these, you might want to check this guide: Adding videos to your playlist (playing your videos in the browser) with windows movie maker or iMovie for mac
(4) And finally, I’m sure you’re wondering about the option where you can add text. This is for adding lyrics to a video or even to a song (when you’re making a song). The best tool I’ve found so far is Lyric Pro, but you can find plenty of other tools that work fine. If you want to know how to make text appear in your videos, check out this guide: How to add text to a video.
